Privacy Policy
This is the privacy policy for The Unlock Report (theunlockreport.com) — an unofficial, independent fan guide. It covers what this site collects, how advertising cookies and optional push notifications work, and the rights you have over your information. Last updated: 6 November 2026.
Nothing on a server
What this site collects: nothing on a server. The countdown, storage checker, download estimator, edition quiz, leak checker and contact builder all run entirely in your browser. Anything you enter in those tools is never sent anywhere by this site, never stored, and is gone when you close the page. There are no accounts. The launch & preload alerts form in the hero is a prototype in this version: it sends and stores nothing. When the live mailing provider is connected at launch, signing up will send your email address to that provider solely to send the launch and preload alerts you asked for, and this policy will name that provider before the form goes live.
Advertising cookies
Advertising cookies (when ads run). This site is supported by display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on a user's visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Third parties may also place and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons and IP addresses, to collect information as a result of ad serving on this site.
Unlock Alerts (push)
Optional push alerts. The Unlock Report offers optional browser push alerts via OneSignal. Subscribing stores an anonymous subscription ID with OneSignal; no name or email is collected for push. You can unsubscribe at any time in your browser settings, or via the bell icon on any page of this site.
Opting out
Opting out. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, users can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the tools on this site keep working either way.
Cookie policy
This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser — the tools keep their state only while the page is open. When display advertising runs on the live site, advertising vendors (including Google) may set and read advertising cookies as described in the privacy policy above, subject to the consent choices offered to visitors in the EEA, UK and other regions where consent is required. The notice bar on this site explains the choice before you make it; declining personalised ads never blocks access to any content or tool here.
Your rights
Your rights. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, delete, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because this site itself collects no personal information, those rights mainly concern data held by the advertising vendors described above — use the opt-out routes above, or the vendor's own privacy controls. This site does not sell personal information.
Children. This site covers a mature-rated game, is written for adult players, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes & contact
Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date. This version: 6 Nov 2026.
Contact. For privacy requests — and for corrections and copyright notices — the publisher contact for this site is [email protected].
